Warren Petersen, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 representing the 14th Senate District, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing legislative initiatives and expressing views on political decorum.

On December 30, 2025, Petersen commented on an upcoming ballot measure regarding photo radar enforcement in Arizona. He wrote, “In 2026, Arizona’s Republican-led legislature is poised to put a ballot measure before voters to finally ban photo radar statewide. This cash grab masquerading as ‘safety’ isn’t fooling anyone—it’s highway robbery, plain and simple. Critics rightly call it constitutionally”.

Later that day, Petersen shared his support for the measure with another post: “I voted for this!! https://t.co/oVLjf9jIqG” (December 31, 2025).

In a separate statement posted on December 31, 2025, Petersen reflected on the conduct of current and former senators from Arizona. He stated: “Senator Jon Kyl was a true gentleman—classy, and a model of civil debate and decorum in the Senate. Thank you for your decades of service, sir. Sadly, our classless senators from AZ, @MarkKelly and @RubenGallego —think it’s okay to tell their constituents to F off.”

Petersen succeeded David Gowan in the state senate following his election in 2023.
