Maricopa Community Colleges paid an average compensation of $66,467 during 2018, according to data compiled by The Arizona Republic. Arizona public employees as a whole averaged 11 percent less with a compensation of $59,597. Total compensation is made up of an employee's annual salary with the addition of any overtime pay earned throughout the year.

The highest-paid public employee working at Maricopa Community Colleges—Maria Harper-Marinick—earned $413,000.

When calculating average compensation, only employees categorized as full time were included.
