City of Tempe issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.

The City of Tempe invites businesses, organizations and schools with a STEAM focus to participate in this year's Geeks Night Out, presented by StateFarm. The event is back in person this year and will take place on Wednesday, March 16 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Tempe Community Complex, 3500 S. Rural Road. It is free to become an exhibitor.

Exhibitors are required to have an interactive booth designed to engage the community through demonstrations and/or experiments. Businesses that would like to sell merchandise will need a Tempe special event sales tax license. There is no sales tax requirement for sampling or displaying.  To reserve your booth space, contact Denise Rentschler by Feb. 26 at denise_rentschler@tempe.gov.

Geeks Night Out is Tempe's tribute to everyone who loves science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM.) The Arizona SciTech Festival signature event allows everyone to discover the science in everyday things.

An estimated 2,000 people attend Geek's Night Out every year, providing a tremendous opportunity for your organization to share its important STEAM message.
