Mesa Public Library is hosting a special Preschool Storytime, Halloween Boo at all four branches.

Trick-or-treat stations and other activities outside the libraries will bring spooky fun for all to enjoy. Halloween Boo will take place:

Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. at the Red Mountain Library, 635 N. Power Road. Councilmember Alicia Goforth and Councilmember Mark Freeman are scheduled to participate. The Halloween Boo parade will be in the east-covered parking lot. The Mesa Fire and Medical Department staff members will be there to chat with families about trick-or-treat safety.

Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. at the Main Library, 64 E. First St. Mayor John Giles and Councilmember Duff are scheduled to participate.

Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. at the Dobson Ranch Library, 2425 S. Dobson Road. Vice Mayor Francisco Heredia and Councilmember Julie Spilsbury are scheduled to participate. The event includes a Halloween Boo Storywalk in Dobson Ranch Park and Mesa Arts Center’s Mobile Art-Based Engagement Lab (MABEL).

Staff from Mesa Energy Resources and Parks and Recreation will be at all locations. All children attending Halloween Boo will receive a coloring book from Mesa’s Bike and Pedestrian Program about safety as well as a book from Kids Need to Read, while supplies last.

Mesa Public Library encourages children to wear a costume and bring a treat bag to Halloween Boo.
