Enjoy Skating at Merry Main Street Through Jan. 6

Merry Main Street in downtown Mesa is the place to be this holiday season. The festivities will continue until Saturday, Jan. 6, providing plenty of opportunities for fun and celebration. One of the highlights of Merry Main Street is the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink, located at the Plaza at Mesa City Center.

Skating enthusiasts can enjoy gliding on the ice at the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink. For just $10, visitors can skate for one hour, including skate rental. Tickets must be purchased online at merrymainst.com/icerink. The ice rink is open Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Additional weekday hours have been added, so be sure to check the website for specific days and times.

The ice rink will also have special holiday hours on Sunday, Dec. 31, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. In addition, there will be a special Teen Skate session on Dec. 29 from 3 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. This session is exclusively for teenagers and tickets can be purchased in advance for $10.

According to the City of Mesa's website, there are several other attractions and activities to enjoy at Merry Main Street. Jack Frost's Food Truck Forest will be open on Fridays and Saturdays at Pioneer Park, offering a variety of delicious food options. Bingles, our Gnome on the Roam, will also be making appearances at popular Mesa sites, adding a touch of whimsy to the festivities. And of course, the Mesa Temple Christmas Lights will continue to illuminate the night sky until Dec. 31.

Visitors to downtown Mesa can also take in the impressive sight of Mesa's Christmas Tree on Macdonald north of Main Street. Standing nearly four stories tall, this magnificent tree is a sight to behold.

In addition to the festive attractions, downtown Mesa offers a wide variety of dining and shopping options. With over 40 restaurants, coffee shops, and bars, visitors are sure to find something to satisfy their cravings. The area is also home to more than 60 eclectic stores and businesses, providing a unique shopping experience.

Merry Main Street is made possible through the partnership of several organizations, including AT&T Fiber, the City of Mesa, Mesa Parks and Recreation, Downtown Mesa Association, Visit Mesa, Mesa Chamber of Commerce, and many others. Their collaboration ensures that the holiday season in downtown Mesa is filled with joy and excitement for everyone to enjoy.
