Gilbert Town Council Approves Formation of Teen Violence Subcommittee

Gilbert, Ariz. - On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, the Gilbert Town Council voted to approve the creation of a subcommittee focused on evaluating the extent of teen violence in Gilbert and concerns from the community. Vice Mayor Scott Anderson and Councilmembers Chuck Bongiovanni and Jim Torgeson were selected to sit on the subcommittee.

Their next steps will be to determine the scope and structure of their work. Staff is working on scheduling the subcommittee's first meeting and that information will be shared as soon as it is available.
