CHANDLER, Ariz. — Calling all young artists! The city's Neighborhood Resources Department is now accepting submissions for a fair housing poster contest to commemorate National Fair Housing Month in April. The theme of the contest is "Love Your Neighbor," and all entries should reflect this sentiment through wording and imagery.
According to Jeff Christian, individuals in grades first through sixth are invited to participate in the contest by emailing their original artwork to community.development@chandleraz.gov. Submissions must include the parent's name and phone number, child's name, age, grade, and school. The deadline for entries is Friday, April 5. This contest is open to students residing or studying within Chandler city limits.
Prizes in the form of Amazon gift cards will be awarded to the top three submissions chosen by a panel of city staff. The winners will also receive recognition during a Chandler City Council meeting.
For those seeking more information about fair housing laws, Chandler Fair Housing offers additional resources. Questions about the contest can be directed to Jeff Christian at 480-782-4364.
