CHANDLER, Ariz. – Exploring the outdoors doesn’t stop when the sun goes down! The Chandler Nature Center is gearing up for Nature at Night, an after-hours event designed to inspire adventure in visitors of all ages while promoting environmental advocacy and responsible outdoor recreation.
"Back for its second year, Nature at Night is set to ignite curiosity and passion for nature among our community,” said Derek Gerson, event organizer and Chandler Nature Center Supervisor. Gerson added, “It is designed to nurture the love of the outdoors for nature lovers of all ages, leaving attendees with a newfound appreciation for conservation."
Scheduled to take place on March 23 from 6-9 p.m., Nature at Night promises a range of activities that will come alive under the stars. Attendees can look forward to guided night hikes through Veterans Oasis Park, nature-inspired crafts, hands-on activities, bonfires, food trucks, raffle prizes, and interactive exhibits from organizations like Wild at Heart, REI, Arizona Conservation Corps, AZ Bat Rescue, and Desert Nature Alliance.
The event aims to provide something for everyone, whether they are seasoned adventurers or newcomers to outdoor exploration. Participants will have the opportunity to meet wild creatures, engage in interactive activities, and learn about exploring local habitats safely.
Nature at Night will be hosted at the Chandler Nature Center, located at 4050 E. Chandler Heights Road.
