City of Mesa pools to open on May 25 with special grand opening hours

City of Mesa pools are set to open for the summer season starting Saturday, May 25. On the inaugural day, all pools will observe special grand opening hours from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The majority of the pools will be available for public swimming at 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. The operational hours on Saturdays are either from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., depending on the location. Skyline and Rhodes pools will also extend their services to Sundays. For specific pool hours, one can visit mesaparks.com/pools.

The City of Mesa boasts nine public pools where visitors can seek respite from the summer heat:

- Brimhall Aquatic Complex, located at 5035 E. Southern Ave.

- Carson Aquatic Complex, situated at 605 N. Westwood

- Fremont Aquatic Complex, found at 1101 N. Power Rd.

- Kino Aquatic Center, positioned at 848 N. Horne

- Mesa Aquatic Complex, located at 1630 E. Southern Ave.

- Rhodes Aquatic Complex (FlowRider), situated at 1860 S. Longmore

- Shepherd Aquatic Complex, found at 1511 N. Alta Mesa Dr.

- Skyline Aquatic Center, positioned at 845 S. Crismon Rd.

- Stapley Aquatic Complex, located at 3250 E. Hermosa Vista

All these pools will remain open daily until July 20 while Mesa, Stapley, and Brimhall will continue their services daily until July 27. Skyline and Rhodes will stay open each day until July 28 and on weekends through Labor Day, Sept. 2; they will also be open on Labor Day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission fees have been set at $2 for youth aged 17 and under, $4 for adults, and $2 for seniors aged 55 and older. FlowRider rates are $10 for youth and $14 for adults for a one-hour ride when the fence is in place. The rates increase to $12 and $20, respectively, without the fence. No fence Flow sessions will be held on Saturday mornings, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting May 27.

Family and individual season pool passes are currently available at discounted prices until May 24. These passes can be purchased from the Parks and Recreation website or at the Mesa Parks and Recreation Office located at 708 W. Baseline Road, Building 4, Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
