Ken Maxwell, a Mesa resident and member of the St. Timothy's parish, said allowing abortion "legalizes murder" and he will not vote for any candidate that allows abortion.
"Abortion legalizes murder," Maxwell said. "I will not vote for any Democrats because their platform, legal actions, and verbal trash are not tenable. Our state legislature does not seem to be as pro-life as it has been in the past. I know that the 9th Circuit judges often strike down our pro-life laws, but I think our legislature should keep trying."
“Donald Trump is the most pro-life politician in my life,” Tom McClusky, conservative speaker and Principal at Greenlight Strategies, said at the National Conservatism’s Beyond Dobbs panel. “When he comes back into office, he can change the federal laws that use taxpayer dollars to fund abortion, and he can change family policy to promote the bearing and raising of children.”
An Arizona court ruling in April of this year brought back a state law from 1864 which banned all abortions except for when the life of the mother was endangered. Arizona House legislators passed House Bill 2677 on May 2 to repeal the ban, with Governor Katie Hobbs signing the bill into law. The bill goes into effect on September 14, 2024, with a ban on enforcing the 1864 law in effect until September 27, 2024.
“The Democrats are the radicals on this because they're willing to have abortions in the seventh, eighth, ninth month,” former President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post. “We’re talking about the execution of a baby. And you can say what you want, but that's extreme and that's radical.”
