The City of Chandler’s Economic Development Division and Arizona State University’s College of Integrative Sciences and Arts have announced the launch of the Transferable Skills Workshop Series. This initiative is a no-cost workforce development program aimed at improving the adaptability and competitiveness of Chandler residents and ASU students.

The workshops will be held at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center, located at 249 E. Chicago St., in Chandler. Each session will take place from 5-7 p.m., with additional workshops planned for 2025. The series aims to provide participants with tools and knowledge to develop "soft skills" crucial in modern workplaces, particularly in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and information technology.

Experienced professionals and academics will conduct the workshops, offering high-quality learning experiences. Participants can earn free micro-credential digital badges upon completing each workshop, enhancing their resumes and LinkedIn profiles. The workshops are open to all individuals, including job seekers looking to upskill, students seeking to complement their technical knowledge with soft skills, and employers aiming to improve their teams' capabilities.

Registration details and the full workshop schedule are available on the Transferable Skills Workshop Series website and the newly launched Chandler Career Center platform, which connects local job seekers with Chandler employers.
