Chandler's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division is now accepting entries for its annual Creative Expression Competition. This year's theme is "Inclusion is our Superpower." Students living in or attending a school in Chandler from grades K-12 are eligible to participate.

The competition accepts visual art entries or one-page written essays until 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. Submission guidelines, judging criteria, and entry forms can be found online at the Creative Expression Competition website.

Submissions, along with a completed entry form, may be submitted in person at specified locations. Entry forms will also be available at each dropoff location. Chandler City Hall operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and library hours can be checked at the Chandler Library website.

All entries will be displayed at one of the Chandler Public Libraries throughout December. Winners will be notified by Jan. 6 and invited to receive their prize on stage during the 30th Annual Chandler Multicultural Festival on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park: Stage Plaza. Winning artworks will also be showcased at the festival.

For more information about the Creative Expression Competition, contact Adrianna Tušek Erickson with the city's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division at 480-782-2224.
