Chandler Councilmember Angel Encinas has been acknowledged by the National League of Cities for his contributions as a young elected official. The Under 40 Impact Awards recognize leaders under 40 who have made significant impacts in their communities through public service and governance.

Encinas began his term on the Chandler City Council in January 2023, which will continue until January 2027. He is involved in council subcommittees focused on community safety, neighborhoods, sustainability, and technology. Additionally, he participates in Chandler Chamber of Commerce committees dedicated to education, workforce development, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

His approach emphasizes collaboration within the community. A notable project involves the downtown neighborhood of Pueblo Viejo. Encinas facilitated meetings between residents and city services to improve communication and address local needs effectively.
