Rep. Greg Stanton, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona's 4th district since 2019, has recently expressed his views on constitutional matters and local constituent support via social media. Born in Long Island, New York, Stanton moved to Phoenix and pursued higher education at Marquette University and the University of Arizona.
On January 23, 2025, Rep. Stanton emphasized the clarity of the 14th Amendment in a tweet: "The 14th Amendment is clear as day: 'All persons born or naturalized in the United States... are citizens of the United States.' An executive order cannot change the Constitution."
Later that same day, he highlighted his team's efforts to assist constituents with federal agency issues by sharing an example from his district: "Every day my casework team helps folks across #AZ04 resolve issues with federal agencies. If you’re in need of assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out. We may be able to help—just like we helped Sharon from Phoenix when she hit a wall with the IRS on her mother’s estate."
On January 24, 2025, Rep. Stanton addressed economic concerns regarding international trade tariffs proposed by former President Trump: "Arizona imports $14.4 billion worth of food and goods from Mexico and Canada. If Trump follows through on his reckless threat to impose massive, across-the-board tariffs, it'll mean higher costs for middle-class families and devastate Arizona businesses."
