On January 29, 2025, Rep. Stanton announced the beginning of tax season by stating that his office is hosting a webinar with IRS experts to provide updates on changes and available resources. He highlighted the introduction of the new IRS Direct File program and provided a link for registration. "Tax season has begun! In another tweet posted on January 29, 2025, Rep. Stanton expressed concerns about military readiness related to policies banning certain soldiers from service. He emphasized that such bans are counterproductive and compromise national safety by excluding well-trained individuals willing to serve their country. "These brave Americans volunteered to put their lives on the line to serve our country. Banning these well-trained soldiers is self-defeating. It damages our military readiness & makes our country less safe."
