Six schools within the Gilbert Public Schools district have been awarded the A+ School of Excellence Award for 2025 by the Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF). The honored institutions are Ashland Ranch Elementary, Augusta Ranch Elementary, Boulder Creek Elementary, Carol Rae Ranch Elementary, Gilbert Elementary, and Quartz Hill Elementary. This recognition brings the total number of A+ Schools of Excellence in the district to 18.

The A+ School of Excellence Award acknowledges schools that surpass expectations in academics, innovation, and community engagement. These awards are given to schools committed to maintaining a safe and student-centered learning environment. "Earning the A+ School of Excellence Award is a tremendous honor that recognizes the dedication and hard work of our schools' teachers, staff, and students," stated Dr. Jason Martin, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education. "This recognition affirms our commitment to providing every child with a high-quality education in a safe and supportive environment."

Ashland Ranch Elementary received its award for fostering a collaborative community among students, staff, and parents. Augusta Ranch Elementary was recognized for its positive learning atmosphere and accelerated programs for K-6 students with strong academic abilities. Boulder Creek Elementary earned its award through efforts to create an inclusive environment that supports student success through various clubs and activities.

Carol Rae Ranch Elementary was honored for building a compassionate learning community emphasizing strong school-home partnerships. Gilbert Elementary’s dual-language program contributed significantly to its recognition by preparing students for global participation. Quartz Hill Elementary offers diverse classroom settings to suit individual academic journeys while encouraging excellence through student clubs.

The list of other schools within Gilbert Public Schools holding this prestigious title includes Campo Verde High School, Canyon Rim Elementary, Gilbert Classical Academy, Highland High School, Highland Park Elementary, Mesquite Elementary, Neely Traditional Academy, Oak Tree Elementary, Sonoma Ranch Elementary, Superstition Springs Elementary, Towne Meadows Elementary, and Val Vista Lakes Elementary.
