Greg Stanton, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona's 4th district since 2019, has shared several statements on social media regarding recent events and initiatives. Born in Long Island, New York, in 1970, Stanton now resides in Phoenix and holds degrees from Marquette University and the University of Arizona.

On February 21, 2025, Stanton expressed his condolences for the passing of Paul Carroll. He acknowledged Carroll's significant contributions to Phoenix Pride and the LGBTQ+ movement. "Sad to learn of the passing of Paul Carroll. Paul’s leadership and dedication in numerous roles at Phoenix Pride helped shape the organization into what it is today. He was an unwavering torchbearer of the LGBTQ+ movement. Rest in peace."

Later that day, Stanton highlighted a critical discussion about water conservation efforts concerning the Colorado River's future. In collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU), he convened key water leaders to address this pressing issue facing Arizona's future. "We're in a do-or-die moment for the future of the Colorado River, and the actions we take today will determine the future of Arizona."

In another post on February 21, Stanton criticized President Trump's tariff policies and announced his support for legislative measures aimed at preventing unilateral tariff impositions by any president without congressional approval. "President Trump's across-the-board tariffs will raise prices, punishing American families trying to make ends meet."
