Representative Andy Biggs shares opinions on immigration and government spending

Rep. Andy Biggs, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona's 5th district since 2017, shared his views on immigration and government spending in a series of tweets on March 11, 2025.

In his first tweet, Rep. Biggs expressed his stance on immigration policy by stating that "No one is entitled to a U.S. visa or green card. They're a privilege, not a right." This tweet was posted at 13:45 UTC.

Later that day, at 18:20 UTC, Rep. Biggs discussed his decision regarding a continuing resolution (CR) vote in Congress. He stated, "I’ve never voted for a continuing resolution, but I’m voting for the CR on the Floor today." He attributed this decision to President Trump's request and emphasized that "The Executive Branch is the only branch of government serious about cutting spending, despite my best efforts."

In another tweet at 20:04 UTC, Rep. Biggs criticized previous claims regarding border security legislation by stating that "The previous occupant of the White House claimed he couldn't secure the border without new legislation." He continued by asserting that "President Trump has shut down the border simply by enforcing the law."
