Congressman Andy Biggs of Arizona has formally requested an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) into ActBlue, a primary fundraising platform for the Democratic Party. This request was made in a letter addressed to FBI Director Kash Patel.
According to Congressman Biggs, banks across the United States identified numerous suspicious transactions involving ActBlue in 2024. Despite these reports, previous efforts by Congress to investigate were reportedly blocked by the prior Administration. The allegations also include claims of foreign donations from countries such as China, Russia, Iran, and Venezuela.
"The allegations against ActBlue are alarming and warrant a thorough investigation by the FBI," stated Congressman Biggs.
He further expressed concern about the potential impact on election integrity: "If the allegations against ActBlue are proven true, the fundraising group has undermined the integrity of our elections for years, and justice must be delivered swiftly. Americans’ faith in our electoral system is crucial to our Republic, and Congress must ensure that we protect the security of our elections."
Congressman Biggs also commended Director Patel's efforts: "I’m grateful to Director Patel for his work to restore our justice system, and I look forward to working with him to get to the bottom of these concerning reports."
