The SmartTag Parent App has been launched, offering families of bus riders the ability to monitor their children's bus-riding activities. This application provides several features aimed at enhancing communication and safety for students using school transportation.

Key functionalities include viewing a student's profile and assigned routes, monitoring riding activity, and receiving notifications when a student boards or exits the bus at home or school. Additionally, parents will be alerted when the bus is approaching their designated stop.

A crucial note for users is that the "primary parent," as identified in the Synergy system, must first complete app registration and link to their child before any co-parent can proceed with linking. Once this initial step is completed, co-parents can request linkage to the student's account.

For optimal functionality, students are encouraged to use their student ID cards each time they board or disembark from the bus. Parents are advised to remind their children to carry these IDs daily.

Further information about the app can be accessed at mpsaz.org/transportation.
