Greg Stanton, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 4th district, has been vocal on various issues through his social media posts. Stanton, who succeeded Kyrsten Sinema in 2019, expressed concerns over recent developments under the Trump Administration and participated in community engagement activities.
On March 19, 2025, Stanton criticized the Trump Administration's reported actions regarding Social Security services. "After cutting Social Security Administration staff & closing field offices, the Trump Administration is reportedly phasing out phone support," he stated. He suggested that these measures are intended to make accessing seniors' benefits difficult. Stanton affirmed his opposition by stating, "We're not going to stand for it."
Later that day, Stanton addressed President Trump's response to legal challenges against his actions. On March 19, 2025, he tweeted about the implications of Trump's reactions to court decisions: "President Trump’s illegal actions are being blocked by the courts and now he’s called for impeaching judges when he loses." He warned that such statements should be concerning to everyone.
In a separate event on March 20, 2025, Stanton highlighted his participation in a town hall meeting in Tempe alongside Mayor Corey Woods. He noted significant public interest in this event with a tweet stating: "A packed house in Tempe—more than 350 people are here for my town hall with @mayorcoreywoods!"
