Rep. Andy Biggs, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona's 5th district since 2017, shared several thoughts on social media recently. His tweets covered topics ranging from his visit to an Arizona news studio to constitutional interpretations regarding federal judicial authority.
On March 21, 2025, Rep. Biggs expressed his appreciation for being back in Arizona and participating in a live studio session with Troy Hayden of 12 News. He stated, "It was an honor to join @troy12news live in-studio today. It’s always great to be home in Arizona!"
Later that day, Biggs discussed the constitutional powers of Congress over federal court jurisdiction. He highlighted his legislative proposal by stating, "Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution gives Congress the authority to limit jurisdiction of federal courts. My Injunctive Authority Clarification Act does exactly that." He criticized what he described as "woke activist judges," emphasizing their impact on legislative decisions.
Continuing his commentary on the judiciary, Biggs noted that federal judges do not have lifetime appointments without conditions. Citing constitutional provisions about judicial conduct, he remarked, "Federal judges do not have guaranteed lifetime appointments... Abusing judicial authority for political gain is gross misconduct—these rogue judges must be held to account."
