Six graduate programs at Arizona State University (ASU) are among the top 10 in the nation, as revealed by the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate Programs 2025 rankings. The rankings, released today, highlighted a total of 17 ASU programs that placed in the top 20, including six in the W. P. Carey School of Business.
Notable performances include the JD program in legal writing at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, which climbed two spots to rank third nationwide, surpassing the University of Arizona, Duke University, and Texas A&M. Similarly, the MBA program in supply chain and logistics at the W. P. Carey School of Business maintained its position as the third-best in the nation, ahead of programs at Ohio State University, the University of Tennessee, and the University of Michigan.
Other top 10 mentions from ASU include the MBA in information systems, ranked eighth; the MBA in production/operations, ranked ninth; and the JD in the dispute resolution program, also ranked ninth. Each of these programs outperformed prestigious institutions like New York University, Stanford University, and others.
“These program rankings demonstrate the breadth of academic excellence across ASU’s colleges and schools,” stated Nancy Gonzales, executive vice president and university provost. She further emphasized the importance of graduate education in developing the skills of future professionals, noting, "ASU’s position in these rankings showcases the relevance our degrees have in so many different professional fields.”
In addition to these top rankings, ASU’s overall public affairs program in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions ranked 11th, and the graduate program in the Mary Lou Fulton College of Teaching and Learning Innovation was 20th nationally. Other programs within these colleges received top 20 placements, marking consistent excellence across a broad range of disciplines, including engineering, law, and business.
Historically, ASU has performed well in various U.S. News & World Report higher education rankings, noted for innovation and excellence in online education. The rankings utilize expert opinion and data on faculty, research, and student quality to determine program excellence.
