Town of Gilbert issued the following announcement on July 26.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) advises drivers to plan ahead for the following closures and restrictions in the vicinity of Loop 202 Santan between McQueen Road and Loop 101 Price Freeway while crews perform geotechnical work in preparation for the Loop 202 Santan Freeway widening project between Val Vista Drive and Loop 101 in Chandler and Gilbert.

Lane restrictions on Loop 202 Santan between Loop 101 Price Freeway and McQueen Road will take place from 9 PM until 5 AM starting Monday, July 26 through Thursday, August 5.

Ramp Closures

• The Loop 202 westbound off-ramp at Arizona Avenue will be closed:
  • Starting at 9 PM Monday, July 26 through 5 AM Tuesday, July 27
  • Starting at 9 PM Tuesday, July 27 through 5 AMWednesday, July 28
• The Loop 202 eastbound on-ramp at Price Road will be closed:
  • Starting at 9 PM Thursday, July 29 through 5 AM Friday, July 30

Drivers should be prepared to slow down, and use caution around construction personnel and equipment. Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.

The Arizona Department of Transportation has initiated a project to widen and make other improvements to the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) between Loop 101 (Price Freeway) and Val Vista Drive in the City of Chandler and Town of Gilbert.
