The City of Mesa’s Community Engagement team is resuming its free Resident’s Guide to Mesa classes this month to educate and support neighborhood leaders to improve their communities. The Resident’s Guide to Taking Care of Your Neighborhood takes place Tuesday, Aug. 22, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Dobson Ranch HOA, 2719 S. Reyes.

During the class, participants learn about free City services that can benefit you and your neighborhood, how to easily report issues from graffiti to potholes and how to connect with City departments. Registration is required for the class due to limited seating.

Upcoming Resident’s Guide classes include Building Community in Your Neighborhood on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Hermosa Vista Elementary School, 2626 N. 24th St., and Community and Civic Engagement on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at City Council Chambers, 57 E. 1st St. All Resident’s Guide classes begin at 6 p.m.

The City’s Community Engagement team is also offering Resident’s Guide to Homeowners Associations. The monthly virtual seminars on hot topics and laws about Arizona HOAs and condos conclude with a question and-answer session. Residents can find more information and register for these classes at mesaaz.gov/neighbor.
