The Mesa City Council has announced the calling of a Primary Election scheduled for July 30, 2024. This election aims to elect a Mayor and District 1, 2, and 3 Councilmembers, whose terms will end in January 2029, as stated by the Mesa City Council.
The decision to move the primary election date has also led to adjustments in other significant dates related to the election process. The Candidate Filing Period is set to take place from March 4, 2024, to April 1, 2024. The first day to request an early ballot is on April 28, 2024, with the voter registration cutoff scheduled for July 1, 2024. Early voting is set to commence on July 3, 2024, and will end for in-person voting on July 26, 2024. The culmination of this electoral process will be the PRIMARY ELECTION DAY on July 30, 2024.
