CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Friends of Chandler Public Library are gearing up for Library Giving Day on Wednesday, April 3, to raise awareness and funds in support of the resources available at the Chandler Public Library.
Tara Anglin, Community Engagement Program Manager, emphasized the importance of libraries in the community, stating, "Libraries serve as the cornerstones of our community, providing resources for lifelong learning, enrichment, and connection."
By supporting the Friends on Library Giving Day, donors can ensure that these resources remain robust and accessible to all residents, without any cost, Anglin added.
Rachelle Kuzyk, Chandler Public Library Manager, highlighted the inclusive nature of libraries, saying, "Libraries are inclusive places that welcome people of all ages, from all backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life."
Library Giving Day marks the beginning of National Library Week, which runs through April 13, celebrating the significant impact libraries have on communities.
During National Library Week, patrons can participate in various events at the Chandler Public Library, including the Local Authors Fair on April 6, featuring over 30 Arizona authors and zine creators. Other events include the Lego Club on April 3, Family Science on April 8, and Nature of Things: Introduction to Nature Journaling on April 13.
