Matthew Uy, a Mesa resident and member of the St. Timothy's parish, said, "if we don't have a border" then legal residents of the country suffer.

"One main issue is the border and the allowance of illegal aliens into our country," Uy said. "If we don't have a border, we don't have a country. Being a border state, we end up paying for so many of the services that the illegal aliens cause. I am very pro-immigrant, but they need to come here legally.

Uy also mentioned the visible increase in illegal immigrants engaging in various activities and the strain on healthcare. "I see so many illegal immigrants around, trying to get work, begging, and setting up homeless camps. My wife, who is a doctor, has noted a rise in Hispanic-speaking patients who do not speak any English. In the past, most Hispanic patients spoke some English or at least understood it. She is also seeing rare diseases that she hasn't encountered in years."

Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens reported that Harris has not contacted him since his appointment in July 2023. Further, Retired Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz claims he never spoke to Harris during his entire appointment as Border Patrol Chief from August 2021 through June 2023.

Harris only made one trip to the border in June of 2021. During this trip, “federal agents on the front lines were instructed to completely sanitize the area to hide the true severity of the crisis from cameras.” Since then, Harris has never made an appearance anywhere near the Southern border.

Since March of 2021, people have been referring to Harris as the “border czar” after President Biden appointed her to oversee the Biden Administration’s efforts at our southern border.

“I’ve asked her, the VP, today, because she’s the most qualified person to do it, to lead our efforts with Mexico and the northern triangle … in stemming the migration to our southern border,” stated Biden, who sat beside Kamala Harris, both wearing masks.

Now that Vice President Harris has been endorsed by President Biden and other political leaders within the democratic party to be the presidential candidate, liberal news sources have attempted to claim that Harris never was the “border czar.”

Kamala Harris, the first female Vice President, has continuously struggled to keep the border crisis at bay during her term. Before being elected as Vice President, Harris served as the District Attorney of San Francisco, the Attorney General of California, and as a U.S. Senator from California.
