CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Gila River Indian Community (GRIC) has awarded a $50,000 grant to the City of Chandler’s Community Services Department. The funds will be used to create the Chandler Native Plant Oasis at Veterans Oasis Park, situated at the northeast corner of Chandler Heights and Lindsay roads.

The project aims to transform the park’s existing community education garden into a native plant education center. This initiative will allow community members to gain knowledge about native plants and their significance in an evolving desert environment.
