Chandler Public Library celebrates Library Card Sign-up Month this September

CHANDLER, Ariz. – Chandler Public Library (CPL) joins libraries nationwide to celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month this September. This annual event highlights the wealth of resources and opportunities available to library cardholders. New CPL cardholders who sign up at a Chandler branch this month may choose from a series of limited-edition library card designs.

Libraries have long been vibrant community hubs, providing spaces for connection and learning for all ages. Today, CPL has expanded its resources far beyond the days of traditional book stacks.

“We’re much more than a place to find your favorite book,” says Chandler Public Library Manager, Rachelle Kuzyk. “With a Chandler library card, you can access a broad range of learning resources and hundreds of interactive programs. Whether you’re interested in learning a new language, joining a book club, or creating something extraordinary in The Makery – your library serves as a gateway to community engagement and lifelong learning.”

CPL cardholders have access to over 240,000 physical books across four Chandler branches and nearly 70,000 digital eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines, offering versatile ways for patrons to enjoy their favorite literature.

CPL cardholders also benefit from free access to streaming platforms like Kanopy and Freegal, providing thousands of movies and music options. Patrons can explore local attractions by checking out a Culture Pass and take advantage of numerous digital resources such as LinkedIn Learning, Mango Languages and “Consumer Reports.”
