The Chandler Fire Department has been reaccredited by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International following a rigorous year-long process. Chandler was first accredited in 1999 and has been reaccredited every five years since.

"This exceptional evaluation shows that Chandler is one of the finest fire departments in the nation,” said Chandler Fire Chief Tom Dwiggins. “It is a testament to the talented people who serve Chandler and the tremendous support we’ve received from the community.”

To earn accreditation, Chandler Fire underwent a strategic assessment of their resource deployment model, developed continuous quality improvement initiatives, and presented findings to a commission of leaders within the Fire Service.

The Commission on Fire Accreditation International assists fire and emergency service agencies in examining past, current, and future service levels, evaluating internal performance, and comparing them to industry best practices.

This rigorous peer review and self-assessment aim to improve operations and service delivery for the community. By successfully completing this process, Chandler Fire has demonstrated that it is among the best, most cost-efficient, and effective public safety organizations in the nation.
