The Friends of Chandler Public Library have announced the launch of the Season of Friendship Giving Campaign. This initiative seeks to raise funds for innovative programs and resources at Chandler Public Library (CPL). The campaign encourages individuals who wish to support library services in Chandler to contribute towards literacy during the holiday season.

Friends of Chandler Public Library is a nonprofit organization that supports the library through volunteer efforts and donations from individuals and corporations. They fund various programs and resources, including STEAM and literacy initiatives, as well as digital tools like LinkedIn Learning. Recently, they approved a $240,000 investment for CPL, which includes $135,000 allocated for a mobile outreach vehicle set to serve as the city's fifth library branch in 2025.

The campaign's launch coincides with National Friends of Libraries Week, highlighting community support for libraries. Tara Anglin, CPL community engagement manager, stated: “The Friends support many of the important programs and services at Chandler Public Library.” She emphasized their role in facilitating activities through used book sales and donations.

Community members can donate directly to the Friends of Chandler Public Library online or at any of the four library locations. Rachelle Kuzyk, Chandler Public Library manager, remarked: “Our libraries are more than places to find books – they are the heartbeat of our community.”

Throughout this Season of Friendship and beyond, free programs supported by the Friends will be available at CPL locations.
