Mesa's annual Historic Home Tour is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, from noon to 5 p.m. This event will feature 12 homes showcasing a variety of architectural styles such as Craftsman Bungalow, Spanish Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, Mission Revival, Pueblo Revival, and Ranch. The tour will take place in the West Second Street and Evergreen historic districts.

The West Second Street Historic District is Mesa's oldest historic district and boasts the most diverse architectural styles in the city. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1999 and is recognized for its architectural significance and historical connection to prominent families from the early 20th century.

The Evergreen Historic District was the first neighborhood to include subdivisions beyond Mesa's original square mile when it was established in 1909. It also gained a spot on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999 due to its role in developing a cohesive community of middle and upper-class families between 1910 and 1948.

Tickets for the tour are priced at $20 and can be purchased online or on the day of the event from noon to 4 p.m. at the Aster Senior Center located at 247 N. Macdonald, where parking is available. Online ticket holders must check-in at the southeast corner of Macdonald and Third Place (north of the Aster Senior Center) to receive wristbands along with a souvenir book and map of tour locations. Entry into homes requires a wristband.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Mesa Historical Museum.
