Mesa Public Schools recently highlighted Zaharis Elementary as the Spotlight School at a board meeting on February 25. Principal Jen Kunz recognized several individuals for their contributions to the school community.
Heather Bullard, a certified staff member with twenty-eight years of experience, was praised for her dedication and passion. "Heather is not only a master teacher...but also a beacon of dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to her students and colleagues," said Kunz. Bullard's innovative teaching methods and empathetic approach have made significant impacts on her students' learning experiences.
Susan Knott, a classified staff member with two decades of service, was acknowledged for her role as an instructional assistant. "Susan works tirelessly to support student learning," Kunz stated. Knott's efforts in maintaining school organization and supporting teachers have been invaluable.
Student Parker Adams was honored for his determination and leadership qualities. "Parker is a force to be reckoned with," remarked Kunz. His academic excellence and supportive nature have left a positive mark on both his peers and the broader school community.
