The City of Chandler Community Services Recreation Division is set to host its annual Senior Expo on March 5, inviting seniors and their families to explore a range of resources and activities. The event will feature over 60 exhibitors offering insights into health and wellness services, financial planning, recreational opportunities, and more. Attendees can engage with local organizations, access free health screenings, and discover resources for an active lifestyle.
“The Chandler Senior Expo not only provides valuable resources but also celebrates the talents and energy of our seniors,” stated Trevor Groth, Chandler Recreation Coordinator. This year’s expo will also include a pop-up art show featuring artwork from local seniors.
Presented by Medtronic and sponsored by Alignment Health Plan, Arizona Priority Care, Caring Transitions, and Dignity Health Orthopedic & Sports Medicine, the expo is free to attend. It is designed for those nearing retirement, already retired individuals, and children of aging adults. The event will take place at the Chandler Community Center from 9 a.m. to noon with free parking available.
Following the expo, the community can look forward to the Spice of Life Senior Variety Show two weeks later. This event showcases talented seniors in singing, dancing, comedy, and other performing arts. The 2025 show honors Arlene “Strannie” Strandberg's memory; she was a long-time director who passed away in 2024.
“Strannie will be deeply missed in this year’s show,” said Groth. “We are honored to dedicate this performance to her, celebrating the lasting impact she had on the show and its performers.”
Performances will be held at the Chandler Center for the Arts with tickets priced at $10. They are available at both the Chandler Senior Center and Chandler Center for the Arts box office.
