The Rio Salado College has announced that its 2025 Commencement Ceremony will take place on May 8 at the Arizona Financial Theatre in downtown Phoenix. The event, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., invites graduates to celebrate their academic achievements with family and friends.
Students eligible for participation include those who have completed a degree or certificate program since May 1, 2024, or are expected to complete one by December 2025. The ceremony will be open to the public, with no attendance fee for students or guests.
Graduates must order their cap and gown from an approved vendor, as these items will not be available at the ceremony venue. Those graduating with honors will receive their honor cords upon check-in on the day of the event.
Attendees should note that commencement is a public event where photography and videography will occur for promotional purposes. By attending, participants consent to being filmed or photographed.
To ensure inclusion in the commencement program, students must apply by March 23. Applications for degrees or certificates can be submitted any time after completing final classes. Before applying, students need to settle any outstanding debts with Maricopa Community Colleges and verify all transcripts and grades are on file at Rio Salado College.
For accommodations due to disabilities, attendees are advised to contact the college's Disability Resources and Services Office.
