The Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation has announced the opening of its Fall 2025 General Scholarship Application. The application period runs from March 1 to April 30, 2024. This initiative allows students to apply for hundreds of scholarships with a single application, thanks to community donations and funds raised by the EmpowerED campaign.
"After the application cycle closes on April 30, award notifications will begin going out in July 2025," according to the foundation's statement. The foundation emphasizes that FAFSA is not required and welcomes all GPA levels.
EmpowerED is a collaborative effort between the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation and the ten MCCCD colleges aimed at raising $20 million to support students facing financial challenges. To date, $9.3 million has been raised. Those interested in contributing can find more information through provided resources.
Additional support services are available for those needing help with their scholarship applications. Students can schedule one-on-one sessions with scholarship coordinators for guidance on the online application process and essay writing tips.
