Greg Stanton, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona's 4th district since 2019, has recently voiced his concerns on several national issues through social media. Stanton, who succeeded Kyrsten Sinema and is currently residing in Phoenix, shared his views on economic policies and regulatory decisions affecting American families.
On March 3, 2025, Rep. Greg Stanton expressed his criticism regarding former President Trump's tariff policies. He warned that "Trump's sweeping tariffs will cause prices to rise on everything from groceries to gas." He emphasized that this would negatively impact families in Arizona.
Later the same day, Stanton raised allegations against the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its decision to switch a long-term contract from Verizon to Starlink. He stated that "The FAA canceling a long-term contract with Verizon in favor of Starlink—while ignoring long-established protocol—stinks of corruption." He accused Elon Musk of compromising public safety for financial gain.
In another tweet posted on March 3, 2025, Stanton addressed attempts by Trump and Musk to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). He announced legal action by stating: "We're taking the fight to the courts." He also mentioned joining an amicus brief supporting a lawsuit aimed at preventing what he described as an "illegal shutdown" of the CFPB.
