Rep. Greg Stanton, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 4th district, has recently made several public statements on social media regarding local and national issues. These statements reflect his support for local sports achievements, criticism of economic policies affecting small businesses, and efforts to uphold tribal sovereignty through legislative action.

On March 16, 2025, Rep. Stanton congratulated the Grand Canyon University men's basketball team for their success in winning the Western Athletic Conference Championship for the third consecutive time. He expressed pride in their dedication and hard work that led them to qualify for the NCAA Tournament: "Congratulations @GCU_MBB on your third straight @WACsports Championship win & punching your ticket to dance in the NCAA Tournament! Be proud of the hard work & dedication that led to this moment."

Later that day, he addressed concerns about economic policies impacting local businesses in Arizona. Rep. Stanton criticized former President Donald Trump's trade war, highlighting its negative effects on small businesses such as restaurants and bars by increasing costs for residents: "Trump’s trade war is hurting small businesses—including local restaurants and bars—and raising costs for Arizonans."

On March 17, 2025, Rep. Stanton announced his leadership role in advocating for the ratification of the Northeastern Arizona Indian Water Rights Settlement Agreement alongside Rep. Juan Ciscomani. He emphasized that this agreement would reinforce tribal sovereignty while ensuring protection of vital water resources: "Proud to lead the effort in the House to ratify the Northeastern Arizona Indian Water Rights Settlement Agreement... It will uphold Tribal sovereignty while protecting our single most precious resource for generations to come."
