Rep. Greg Stanton, a member of the United States Congress, has taken to Twitter to criticize actions by the Trump administration, focusing on their impacts on Arizona communities. His posts highlight concerns regarding proposed cuts to libraries and museums, the effects of federal policies on various community members, and attempts to alter collective bargaining rights for federal employees.

In a post dated April 5, 2025, Stanton commented on proposed reductions by the Trump administration that he argued would severely impact the functioning of libraries and museums, especially in rural Arizona and areas on Tribal lands. These institutions, according to Stanton, play a crucial role in preserving Native American language, culture, and history. More details on this subject were referred to an external article from AZ Central. "Cuts by the Trump Administration would decimate libraries and museums—especially in rural Arizona and on Tribal lands, where they help preserve Native American language, culture and history."

Later that day, Stanton addressed the effect of policies from the Trump administration on numerous groups, stating, "Veterans, seniors, teachers, students, business owners—our East Valley community is feeling the effects of Trump's chaos in Washington.” Stanton thanked the community of Mesa for participating in discussions with him and Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, declaring their determination to counteract these challenges. "Mesa, thank you for showing up and sharing your stories with @AZAGMayes and me. We're fighting back with everything we've got."

In a subsequent tweet on April 6, 2025, Stanton alleged that Trump was attempting to illegitimately revoke collective bargaining rights from 1.5 million federal employees, expressing his commitment to preventing such measures. He asserted, "Trump is trying to illegally strip collective bargaining rights from 1.5 million federal employees. We're not going to let him get away with union busting." "Trump is trying to illegally strip collective bargaining rights from 1.5 million federal employees."
