Chandler’s Family Easter Celebration returns with free, family-friendly fun – April 16

Don’t miss Chandler’s annual Family Easter Celebration! Families  are invited to hop to the Snedigar Sportsplex, Saturday, April 16 at 9  a.m., and join the community for Easter-themed fun.

Children 9 years old and younger will  love the 24 Karrot Trail. With their own Easter baskets, they can hop  along the path to collect eggs filled with candy or prizes. Bunnies who  find an egg with a “golden karrot” will be given a special prize. The 24  Karrot Trail will be open from 9 a.m. until noon, or when the eggs run  out.

Every family who attends the event can pick up a ticket for a chance to win an eggs-citing Family Easter Basket. The drawing will be at 11:10 a.m. and the winner must be present to win.

The morning will also be hopping with  carnival games, a prize wheel, an inflatable bouncer, performances from  local groups and photos with the Easter Bunny. Some activities require a  minimal fee.

The City is also on the hunt for Chandler’s most egg-cellent artist. Little bunnies are invited to gather crayons, markers and  glitter and pick-up this year’s coloring page at any Chandler recreation  facility or download at www.chandleraz.gov/easter.  The coloring contest is open to all children up to 9 years of age and  winners will be announced at the event at 9:15 a.m. Get hopping because  entries must be submitted by April 4.

The 42nd Annual Family Easter Celebration is  presented by the City of Chandler in partnership with First Things First  and Waste Management.

Snedigar Sportsplex is located at 4500 S. Basha Rd., and parking is accessible from Alma School Rd.
