Chandler hosts diverse lineup of festive events this holiday season

Chandler, Arizona, is set to host a variety of holiday events this season. Residents and visitors can enjoy a mix of shopping opportunities, festive displays, and community activities.

The holiday festivities kick off with Small Business Saturday on November 30 and Museum Store Sunday on December 1 at the Chandler Museum. Shoppers will receive a 10% discount on unique local items.

A centerpiece of the celebrations is the Tumbleweed Tree in Downtown Chandler, which will be displayed from December 7 to January 5, 2025. The annual Tumbleweed Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights takes place on December 7. Attendees can visit Santa, enjoy an inflatable play area, see over 40 parade entries, and witness the lighting of the tree.

Santa's House will be open on select nights in December for free photos with Santa. Downtown Chandler will also feature Holiday Magic with Sugarland displays for photo opportunities.

Families can partake in new traditions such as Swim with Santa and Polar Express train rides. The Chandler Fire Department encourages donations for its annual Toy Drive, while the Chandler Public Library offers free holiday craft workshops.

Additional highlights include:

- Through January 19: Learn about the Tumbleweed Tree's history at Chandler Museum.

- November 18-December 16: Participate in a holiday drive through the Community Cares Tree initiative.

- November 29-December 1 & December 6-8: Enjoy Ballet Etudes' Nutcracker at Chandler Center for the Arts.

- November 30-January 5: Explore Holiday Magic featuring Sugarland displays.

- December events include Sippin’ Santas Pub Crawl and Holiday Traditions in the Park.

Chandler Public Library branches offer various free programs throughout December. Activities range from crafting gnome ornaments to making Christmas trees out of paperback books.
