Celebrate Mesa, a free and family-friendly party in the park, returns to mark the arrival of the fall season with a wide variety of games, carnival rides, entertainment and more. The Celebrate Mesa Fall Festival will be on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Red Mountain Soccer Complex, 905 N. Sun Valley Blvd.
Adults and children of all ages can check out the Police, Fire and other City of Mesa vehicles and equipment, visit the many booths offering prizes and participate in the Mesa Arts Center’s Mobile Art-Based Engagement Lab (MABEL), a pop-up community center on the go.
New this year will be wrestling from Phoenix Championship Wrestling featuring men and women competing from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Other activities include axe throwing from AZ Social Axe, archery tag and the Hippie Hobby Paint Class.
Celebrate Mesa will offer live music from Pandy Raye and the ContraBanditos and Bitter Creek. Battle of the Bands returns featuring youth bands competing for a grand prize of a studio recording at Stem Recording.
Other fun activities for children include a petting zoo, a tot spot, bounce houses and kids' games. Unlimited access to carnival rides (age and height restrictions may apply) is available for $5.. Mrs. Pott’s Tea Party popular characters Ariel, Rapunzel, and Moana, will be available for photos with their fans!
This year’s food court will offer more than a dozen food trucks selling everything from frybread to carne asada to soft pretzels, corn dogs and yogurt.
Arizona Disabled Sports will be selling water and glow items to support upcoming competitions for athletes with disabilities.
