Gilbert, Ariz. - Make this holiday season special for someone in our community by giving your time, money, or donation to a great cause. With so many ways to give back, we’re here to help you find the right opportunity for you! Here are four ways that you can support those in need today:

1. Participate in a Donation Drive

Join our first responders from the Gilbert Police Department and Gilbert Fire & Rescue as they provide gifts for children in our community this holiday season.

  • The Blue Line of Love Holiday Drive, hosted by Gilbert Police, will be collecting donations of gift cards, new unwrapped toys, personal hygiene products, and gift-wrapping supplies through Monday, December 18. View our list of drop-off locations. You can also bring your donations to Gilbert Police’s Photos with Santa event happening on Tuesday, December 12 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
  • The Gilbert Fire & Rescue Department will also be collecting new unwrapped toys and gift cards for Gilbert Public Schools students in need at their “Rides with Santa” event. While dropping off your donation, you can enjoy a ride on a Gilbert Fire truck, take photos with Santa, and much more. The event is happening Saturday, December 2, and you can learn about the event here.
2. Volunteer Your Time

Make a difference in the community this holiday season by volunteering. Team up with one of our community partners to serve youth, seniors, or families in Gilbert. Whether you want to donate a full day of your time or just a few hours, there is a volunteer opportunity ready for you. Check out the volunteer section of our website for a complete list of activities.

3. Adopt a Youth or Family

Secretly fulfill holiday wishes for a Gilbert youth, senior, or family when you partner with one of our local organizations. You can become someone’s Secret Santa by purchasing and anonymously donating items from their wish lists.

4. Shop for a Great Cause

As you do your holiday gift shopping, consider buying items with a deeper purpose.

  • When you make a purchase at the online Gilbert Town Store, proceeds from your sale go to support Neighbor 2 Neighbor. The program provides funding to non-profit organizations committed to assisting Gilbert residents in need with essential services.
  • Pay a visit to the Light the World Giving Machine at Gilbert Water Tower Plaza now through December 31, 2023. The machines allow you to make unique purchases. Instead of getting a candy bar or soda, you can buy items such as groceries, medical care, educational supplies, job training and more in support of local and global charities that help those in need.
