Gilbert, Ariz. - Enjoy a night of the arts with talented local performers! There are two chances left this season to see one of Gilbert Symphony Orchestra’s free concerts. Both performances are designed especially for people living with dementia, their families, friends and carers.

Get ready to party with GSO on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. A (Belated) 100th Birthday Celebration is happening for the Town of Gilbert. It will take place at the Higley Center for the Performing Arts from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The performance will include renditions of Sousa’s “A Century of Progress” and Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.”

On Saturday, May 4, 2024, the Gilbert Symphony Orchestra will host its free Spring Concert at Campo Verde High School. The two-hour musical performance is set to begin at 3:00 PM.

The dementia-friendly events give attendees both flexibility and freedom. Doors open 45 minutes before each performance starts to allow plenty of time for guests to get settled. Attendees can go in and out of the auditorium throughout the performance. Quiet areas are also available. Guests can expect lighting in the auditorium to be at brighter levels to create an enjoyable experience for all.

All music performed at the events will be introduced by GSO musicians to help create a relaxed environment. The events are produced by the Town of Gilbert in partnership with Higley Center for the Performing Arts.
