Rep. Greg Stanton, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Arizona's 4th district, has taken to social media to express his views on various pressing issues. Stanton, who replaced Kyrsten Sinema in 2019, often shares insights into political and humanitarian matters through his posts.
On February 21, 2025, Rep. Greg Stanton criticized former President Donald Trump's actions regarding infrastructure funding. "One of the very first things Trump did when he took office was illegally halt funding that Congress passed for critical infrastructure," he stated, emphasizing that the President is bound by law to fund projects approved by Congress.
The following day, on February 22, 2025, Stanton shared news about hostages being freed from Hamas' captivity. He tweeted: "Omer Wenkert, Omer Shem Tov, Eliya Cohen, Hisham Al-Sayed, Tal Shoham, and Avera Mengistu have been freed at last from Hamas’ brutal captivity." He advocated for further action: "We must move into a second phase of the ceasefire and bring all of the remaining hostages home."
Later on February 22nd, Stanton expressed his condolences to a family affected by ongoing conflict. "Heartbroken for the Bibas family, who have endured so much pain during this tragic conflict," he posted.
