The City of Chandler is concluding its series of public workshops designed to gather community feedback on the future development of the downtown region. These final workshops will feature a 3D augmented reality immersive experience lab, allowing attendees to virtually interact with proposed designs and understand potential impacts on the area.

These sessions mark the last opportunity for residents to influence the vision before it is finalized. The November workshops are scheduled at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center, located at 249 E. Chicago St. They will begin with a brief overview of updates to the area plan before transitioning into the immersive lab experience.

The updated Downtown Region Area Plan aims to integrate two existing plans: the South Arizona Avenue Plan, initially adopted in 2006 and amended in 2008, and the revised downtown portion of the Chandler Redevelopment Element from 1995.
