Mesa Public Library is inviting individuals of all ages to participate in its Spring Reading program, accessible through the Beanstack app. This year's initiative has been expanded beyond children to include participants from infancy to adulthood.

For prereaders aged 0-3, the program involves reading five books and engaging in early literacy activities. Successful completion earns three virtual raffle tickets for a chance at prizes.

Children aged 4-12 have two options: the "Cover to Cover by books" challenge, running from March 1 to April 12, which requires reading up to 15 books. Participants can earn an In-N-Out burger voucher for every five books read, with a maximum of three vouchers. Completing this challenge provides two virtual raffle tickets for prize drawings.

Alternatively, these children can opt for the "Cover to Cover by minutes" challenge within the same timeframe. This involves reading up to 900 minutes and offers similar rewards as the book-based challenge.

Teens (ages 13-17) and adults (18+) are encouraged to join the Spring Reading Program from March 1 to March 31. They are tasked with reading up to 600 minutes—approximately 20 minutes daily—and will receive a bookmark after reaching 300 minutes and a sticker at the completion of 600 minutes. Completion also grants three virtual tickets for prize opportunities.

Participants achieving their goals can claim their prizes at any Mesa Public Library location. This marks the third year of collaboration between Mesa Public Library and In-N-Out Burger for the Cover to Cover Club initiative.

The Spring Reading Program forms part of Mesa Public Library's broader "Mesa Reads" initiative, which aims to promote literacy by encouraging community members to engage in daily reading habits. More details can be found on mesalibrary.org.
