CITY OF TEMPE: Tempe’s 2019 solid waste rate study is open for public comment

City of Tempe issue the following announcement on Sept. 24

Tempe wants your input on the city’s 2019 solid waste rate study. Participate in the solid waste rate study process.Public comment is open now online at tempe.gov/forum. Choose one of two opportunities to attend, the same material will be available on both dates.The first will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 5:30 p.m. at the Tempe History Museum, 809. E. Southern Ave., Tempe, AZ. The second meeting is on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 9:30 a.m. at the Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Road, in the lower level, Meeting Room A. 

The City Council will be considering a solid waste rate adjustment that, if approved, would begin in January 2020. We would like your input in determining what programs and services are the most important as we work towards making additional operational improvements and efficiencies. This relates to the rates you pay for those services. Additionally, proposed in this rate study are changes to days that your trash and recycling is collected.
