City of Prescott Message Regarding COVID-19

Coronavirus update920

City of Prescott issued the following announcement on Aug. 6.

Prescott City Hall and other facilities remain fully open to the public at this time.  However, in response to concerns about rising COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, City leadership strongly encourages citizens to follow current CDC guidelines, to wear masks, and adhere to social distancing when visiting City facilities.  Masks will be available at City Hall.

“The CDC, Arizona Department of Health Services, and Yavapai Community Health Services all state that the best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 is to get vaccinated,” said Mayor Pro Tem Alexa Scholl.  “We strongly encourage our citizens to consider getting vaccinated if they haven’t done so already.”

Prescott Public Library remains open to the public, with some modified services.  In-person programs at the Library are temporarily suspended, although many programs are still available through Zoom.
